Socrates From the Future - Portrait: Yakir Aharonov

Max Rauner

"Socrates from the future" is the title of an interview given by Prof. Yakir Aharonov to Dr. Max Rauner, a German physicist and science writer. The interview took place at the Tel-Aviv University in 2003, and was published in Die Zeit, in Germany. Max Rauner draws an exciting scientific and personal portrait of Yakir Aharonov, a leading Israeli physicist, laurete of the Wolf Prize, and worldwide famous for his contributions to quantum physics. As the interview was published first in German, most Israelis had no chance to read this interesting interview. The Editorial Board of PhysicaPlus Online decided to reproduce this interview in Hebrew, with some rather minor editorial corrections. We are grateful to Prof. Aharonov and Dr. Rauner for their permission to reproduce the interview.
