Gravitational waves: Heavenly sounds

Barak Kol

What are gravitational waves? Why are they considered to be important and what is the hidden world, which they may uncover? What is the indirect evidence in their favor? Why is it so challenging to detect them? Finally, what are the plans for the future, and what are some of the associated theoretical challenges? These questions will be addressed here.
